This Star Wars Ghibli Artwork Present Was a Hidden Gem of Celebration Japan

All weekend at Star Wars Celebration Japan, the connection between the galaxy far, far-off and its inspirational roots in Japanese media has been all over the place. However maybe one of the crucial joyful celebrations of that connection was tucked away among the many hustle and bustle of the present flooring.

On the again facet of a particular anime and manga pavilion on the Celebration present flooring, primarily devoted to shows of idea artwork and props from the primary two volumes of Star Wars Visions, an entire wall of artwork invited congoers to see a particular mashup gallery merging the worlds of Studio Ghibli and Star Wars.

“After I noticed Miyazaki’s movie Princess Mononoke, it modified the best way I thought of animation. I beloved all the things about that movie and it made a long-lasting impression on me. After I went to create Ahsoka Tano, I knew I wished to imbue her with a little bit of San. So because of this Ahsoka has two ‘wolf fangs’ on her cheeks, in homage to Miyazaki’s movie.”
